Mr. Rudy Day is a Chicago power trio that was busy heating up stages in the late 90s and early 2000s, with the nearly-official title of Hideout House Band. Veering easily from proto-metal to melodic rock and spaced-out minimal funk, the band solidified its repertoire on indie albums Juzzle (2002) and Duty (2005). Now reuniting for a rare feel-good romp, Andy Hopkins (guitar), Geoff Greenberg (bass) and Mike Bulington (drums) will draw from decades of crucial tunes. The Hideout is the bar where Mr. Rudy Day plays!

Tijuana Hercules is a Chicago based combo that rolls in a musical node known as “hillbilly trance”. What in all that could be sworn on in this vanishing landscape is “hillbilly trance”? It is a cross section of northwestern hemisphere roots music, boundary stretching down-home blues, gut bucket free form improvisation, and flat out tavern boogie. All geared toward the under-looked, under-served, and under-bellied. A seance of the none others for the none others.

Early on, Tijuana Hercules had a revolving door of musicians and assorted characters displaying various dispositions passing through. Since the pandemic the group has solidified into a trio featuring mainstay John Vernon Forbes on finger picked guitar, keyboards, and vocals: Joe Patt on drums and chili pot percussion: and Doug Abram on baritone sax and occasional metal lid percussion.

In the year of 2026 the band released the vinyl version of its seventh album, “Pulp Tuxedo”, on the Spanish label Batir-San/Ono Fre and a U.S. cassette version on No Sides Records.
