Driving
Take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) to the North Avenue exit. Proceed east on North Avenue to Elston, then go north (left) on Elston a few blocks to Wabansia, and turn right. We’re ahead on the left by the Old Style sign. If you go under the viaduct and reach Cortland or Armitage, on Elston, you’ve gone too far. Turn around and come back under the viaduct, then make a left when you see the sign on the fence saying “Hideout” with an arrow pointing left down Wabansia.
Parking
There is ample free street parking directly in front of the Hideout (on Wabansia) and on surrounding streets (Ada St.+Throop). There are also numerous bicycle racks along Wabansia as well as a DIVVY Bike station at the corner of Elston & Wabansia. **We’d like to remind you to always lock your vehicles and bring your valuables with you, as there have been car break-ins (unfortunately) in the surrounding neighborhood.
Biking
There are plenty of great places to lock your bike while you enjoy time at the Hideout, including lots of city bike racks. On occasions when all racks are full, plenty of sturdy fences provide an alternative.
Public Transit
From the CTA Red Line: Get off at the North & Clybourn stop, take the North Avenue bus or walk westbound on North to Elston (where Stanley’s is), make a right on Elston (northbound) and walk 2 blocks, then make a right on Wabansia (eastbound), then walk ’til you see the Old Style sign peeking out from behind the tree… hi, what would you like to drink?
