BC69
Formed in Columbia, Mo., Buttchug 69 has been playing earnestly catchy DIY rock under a goofy name for more than a decade, on and off. After touring Japan and playing the True/False Film Fest, the band is celebrating the overdue release of their debut studio album, Keep on Rocking for Free in the World. Loaded with indie earworms and a punk ethos, the LP takes a listener on a journey from the familiar to far out. This record is for fans of Beat Happening, The Vaselines, Shonen Knife, The Pastels, The Clean, and all things underground.
This performance will feature Em Downing (Hour, Nina Ryser), Jonas Weir (Airport '77, Sissy Paycheck), Ethan Walden (Mars & the Massacre), and Jeremy Freeze (Cave, Axis:Sova, Jerusalem & The Starbaskets).
Godstar Megmax
In an era of mass cognitive decline and simultaneous social atomization, it’s hard to tell whether Godstar Megamax is a thinking fellers’ band or invitation to turn off your brain and listen to your beefheart. Art rock is alive and well in Chicago. All hail Ubu Roi!
husk
