Write Club turns ten in 2020, which means it's just about old enough to stand in line at a shiny new dispensary and pay for its own edibles. Bout time.

It's only fitting, then, that we celebrate our milestone by bringing a bunch of other Illinois Triumphs back to the Write Club stage at Hideout Inn. There are too many, of course, for a mere one show. We had to pack it into two, so that we continue to abide by the Chicago rule of Early and Often.

On January 24th and 31st, Hideout will explode with literature as bloodsport, so you'd best bring a poncho.

INFO ON THE SOLD OUT 24th SHOW IN A SEPARATE EVENT. This is only for 1/31, pals.

After what will surely be a blisteringly perfect opening show for the anniversary, we close out the proceedings by setting fire to our souls with a legendary lineup. Shortly thereafter, Belknap hands the reins of the enterprise over to new host/producer Overbeing Corrbette Pasko. That's her toasting the Overlord's demise on the boat. After that, the crowd will devour him, as is custom.

And as in the 1/24 show, we're trying something new to keep it spicy after 10 years: we're doin' a three way, and it centers around the ten card in tarot. Our future is uncertain, but it's dead sexy.

Your January 31st Write Club Lineup is:

David Isaacson (TIME) v. Diana Slickman (SPACE)

Claire Stone (HAVE) v Michael Gomez (HOLD)

Gwynn Fulcher (SWORDS) v. Carly Lauren (WANDS) v. Ricky Harris (CUPS)
