VOID OF SABBATH is a collective of Chicago musicians honoring the music of Black Sabbath. The band made its debut in October 2018 opening with a set of 5 classic ABBA hits before a sold-out audience at the Hideout and featured leading players from Califone, Pinebender, Redgrave, Hujo, and The Judy Green.

The band returns again this year, this time to celebrate the music of not only Black Sabbath, but the legendary Dolly Parton.

Honoring the catalogs of Black Sabbath and Dolly Parton is not just a way to celebrate two of the most influential artists of their respective genres. It’s an opportunity for catharsis and healing. Universal themes of love, light and darkness make both artists exceptional bookends for an evening that will summon the pure, angelic joy of Dolly Parton followed by the infectious cataclysm of Black Sabbath.

ANGIE MEAD is the lead singer and guitarist for the Chicago rock duo Redgrave. Her music has been featured in episodes of the HBO series Shameless, Barry, and Mr. Mercedes. She’ll be featured singing in the upcoming soundtrack written and performed by Tim Rutili and members of Califone for the Harris Theater dance production of Echo Mine, premiering December 7th, 2019. She will be the lead singer in both the Black Sabbath and Dolly Parton sets.
