Deep Cricket Night
Deep Cricket Night is a four cornered, pearly moonlight serenade unfurled headlong into dawn with Beggars Banquet in your ride, Townes Van Zandt at your side, and an original melodic moan comprised of Lance Drake (gtr/vocals), Joseph Werner (percussion/drums), Phil Alley (guitar/mandolin), and Chad Mowbray (bass). Musically, they build their unique electric-acoustic sound with an instrumentation highlighted by the melodic lead guitar playing of Phil Alley and the lead vocal-lyrical strength of the band's primary songwriter, Lance Drake. They mix indie rock, alt country, and Americana into a cohesive style all their own.
The Earth Program
The Earth Program is a multimedia cross-genre indie rock band based out of Chicago, IL and the fictional universe of Obbityville. Formed in the fall of 2008, they describe their sound as "atomic rawk, stoner pop, mama jama, retro spooky, space punk." Earth Program's highly energetic live performances noteable for stage antics, costumes, and projected visuals have stirred quite a buzz in the Chicago music art & diy communities over the past few years. The name 'Earth Program' is a reference from the 1964 film "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians."
"INVADE!" is the band's debut demo e.p. Officially released January 29th 2010, "INVADE!" was recorded only a few months after the bands formation, it stands as a testament of that particular moment in time. Past members JenDroid (guitar/vox) & Johnny X (drums) appear on the album. “INVADE!” was self-recorded, produced, released & distributed by the band through their home-based diy label Tastee Records.
Current and future plans include: recording (singles/ep's/albums) touring and various media projects including a DVD (music videos & live performances) comic book & ObbityVision - an experimental music multimedia sketch comedy variety web show featuring exclusive live performances interviews & antics with various local/national bands musicians filmmakers artists comedians and more.
