Love & Radiation
Love & Radiation
Love and Radiation is the project of Adele Nicholas and Lakshmi Ramgopal, vocalists, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists based in Chicago. Love and Radiation's first album, You Will Know Me, will be released on April 9, 2013. Propulsive beats, moody synths and unexpected dissonances create a haunting soundscape. Evoking meditative forests alongside pulsing dance floors, You Will Know Me explores darkness and ritualism with an urgency hard to dismiss.

The band is touring the East Coast in support of the record in April and May 2013.
Impulsive Hearts
Impulsive Hearts
Impulsive Hearts is Danielle Sines. She sings, shouts, plays guitar and synth, and records noises on tape recorders. She likes melodies that remind her of summertime.
John Paul plays bass, guitar, saxophone, keys, and sings.
Dan Julian plays percussion.

Impulsive Hearts is summertime, beaches, swimming after dark, dance parties, bright colors, sweat, glitter, and love on an endless loop.

For fans of Best Coast, The Pretenders, Beach House, Cults, The Cure, The Smiths, Dum Dum Girls, Girls and you.
Collages
Collages
Collages is the solo project of Chicago native Jesse Bustamante. Collages mixes drum loops, live drums, guitars, loop pedals, and keys into their live shows, as well as projected visuals. They are part of the Tree House collective in Chicago. I was able to interview Jesse on the release
TAL
TAL
TAL is Canada-born, Chicago-based experimental musician Natalie Chami. In her solo performances, vocal loops and drifting tones of analog synths swell and accumulate across long sessions of drone. As part of duo L'ETERNEBRE, or in collaboration with Chicago experimentalist Passerby, TAL's sounds collude with glacial electronic drones and processed strings. In trio GOOD WILLSMITH, TAL's arsenal of synths, oscillators and electronics collides with massive bass and looped guitar noise. When she’s not droning, TAL teaches music at Chicago High School for the Arts and in her private studio.
