Mar Caribe - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
Mar Caribe
Mar Caribe's influences originate from myriad time zones and geographies, stretching from the deserts of the southwestern United States to the coasts of Argentina. Channeling everyone from Calexico to the Dirty Three to South American street musicians, the instrumental sextet straddles the line between dusty spaghetti Westerns and jauntier maritime numbers.

Haley Bonar
Haley Bonar was discovered during an open mic event by one of her musical heroes, Alan Sparhawk of Low. The next day she quit school, crammed her Honda Civic full of gear with her drummer, and was opening for Low across the country she had barely seen. Haley was twenty years old. Since then, she has released three full length albums, several EPs, started a punk/new-wave side project (Gramma’s Boyfriend), had songs tapped for major motion pictures and has had the pleasure to tour from coast-to-coast playing some of the most amazing venues with some of the most talented artists in the world. Haley recently released a highly acclaimed 7" single entitled 'Bad Reputation' (see NPR quote below) and is currently in the studio working on her fourth full length release, which is expected to be released in the summer of 2013.

Haley has supported and performed with Andrew Bird, Mason Jennings, David Garza, Amos Lee, Gary Louris, Great Lake Swimmers, Dar Williams, One Eskimo, Low, The Dodos, Horsefeathers, Over The Rhine, Pieta Brown, Hayden, Charlie Parr, Mary Lou Lord, Richard Buckner, and Langhorne Slim. Members of her live band also perform with Gayngs, Alpha Consumer and Andrew Bird.

"'Bad Reputation' is darkly sparkling, but it's dispensed with a poppy brightness that's virtually impossible to resist. Haley is a remarkable performer, with a terrific ear for detail and a gift for masking melancholy observations with hooks that stick."
-NPR MUSIC
"She possesses a voice that's ideal for conveying mixed emotions about romance, fame, life."
-PITCHFORK

"Haley Bonar rediscovers the pure emotion of unadorned singer-songwriter folk."
