MASSILLON - A Night of Film and Music
MASSILLON - A Night of Film and Music
Jessica Marks releases her first music video for the song 'FUCK THE CLOCK' directed by Underground Film Phenom Emily Esperanza (one of Newcity's Top 50 under 50 in the film industry). The video was shot in a haunted Victorian mansion in Massillon, OH in an immersive 3 day collaborative experiment, yielding direct contact with the spirits of the space. It explores dream-time, the cycle of death and rebirth, and the occult. It will be shown alongside 2 other films also shot in the Massilon mansion: an 8mm short also directed by Ms. Esperanza entitled "MASSILLON", and a the Premiere of a short film exploring bi-polar disorder by Chicago filmmaker Justin Flocco. A sensual evening exploring the intersection of music and film, time and space.

Jessica Marks
Jessica Marks is a mystical rascal who makes songs like the dead of night and dirt under your fingernails. Described as the lust child of Joni Mitchell and Patti Smith, her music is haunting and unique, an amalgamation of many genres that defies categorization. Experimental in nature, the heavy poetry of her lyrics ride over her electric guitar in unexpected melodies, and her magnetic song structures flow through the listener like a bed time story woven by a witch.
