Steve Krakow must have known I have a penchant for hazy, atmospheric, instrumental soundscapes when he hipped me to Solar Fox, his newest side project. Even though he's graced the coach house three times now, Steve (aka Plastic Crimewave) has never duplicated his role or sound in any of the three groups he's performed with (the other two being DRMWPN & Moonrises). As I was playing the recordings aloud on my laptop, my wife asked me if I was watching a movie... These tunes would fit perfectly with any B space movie. I haven't seen much about Solar Fox lately, so I'm especially glad we were able to capture them when we did.
