Gregorio Gomez has moved Chicago's famous and longstanding Monday night Poetry Open Mic to the Hideout. "After thirty years, it's time for a change," says Gomez. Poets change, poetry has changed, and now the Poetry Open Mic has a new home at the Hideout.

Luis J. Rodriguez, the Poet Laureate of Los Angeles, returns to Chicago for a featured reading at Weeds Poetry at the Hideout. The author of "Always Running: La Vida Loca, Gang Days in L.A" and "It Calls You Bac"k and the founder and publisher of Tia Cucha Press wiil rejoin Gregorio Goemz, Chuck Kramer, and other Weeds poets to read from our stage as he did during his years in Chicago. Join us for this special evening of poetry, friendship, and community!
