Jack Klatt
Jack Klatt is a songwriter and finger-style guitarist based in Minneapolis. His unique sound rides the fine line between blues and country music. He’s won recognition from the MN state arts board, recorded alongside Spider John Koerner, and made it onto Daytrotter’s list of best songs in 2014. His 2016 release "Shadows in the Sunset" has been praised as "an eminently satisfying, slow rolling, Country/Blues" and made it onto Saving Country Music’s list of 2016 essential albums.

Jess's musical language ranges from orchestral and chamber violin to Old-Time fiddle and original song. Hailing from Southeast Wisconsin, she studied the Suzuki violin method from age five with highly esteemed teacher and pedagogue, Carol Waldvogel - once a student of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki himself. Jess's first introduction to traditional American music came much later from Old-Time luminaries Bruce Molsky, Roy Andrade, Stephen "Sammy" Lind, James Bryan, Lee Sexton and Bruce Greene at fiddle camps and in college. Jess earned a degree in Bluegrass and Appalachian Studies from East Tennessee State University before going on to complete a Bachelors of Social Work and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has since grown into an adept old time fiddler and guitarist, and stretches her social work muscle as a teaching artist at Chicago's infamous Old Town School of Folk Music and camps such as Augusta Heritage Center's Old Time & American Vernacular Dance Week (Elkins, West Virginia) and Miles of Music Camp (New Hampshire & Boston). In 2015 she collaborated playwright Damon Kiely and the House Theatre of Chicago, composing an all-original score of old time/gospel music for the play, The Revel, received with venerable reviews - Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times links below.
