Ben Fasman is a prominent taxidermist, descended from the original Tzfassman, the famous family of Russian royalty's house-painters and flashlight repairmen. After his 60th birthday and the demise of his family in a terrible accident involving feral cats, Fasman became interested in DJing, bought an entirely linen wardrobe and disappeared to the marshlands of Saint Helena island in South Carolina. He emerged with a slight limp, a glass eye and a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which involves the sudden hardening of the myocardium. He keeps it at bay with constant infusions of a mixture of saline solution, scopolamine and the natural barks and spices used to make Old Spice injected directly into his bloodstream.
