This Week At The Hideout

Tonight brings together a few extraordinary duos with David Daniell / Douglas McCombsNathan Salzburg / Jim Elkington, and Pairdown that is a rare show not to be missed.

Friday our ears will be subjected to the psychotropic sounds of Arbouretum and Eternal Tapestry, along with the meditative American primitive finger-picking of Matthew Hale Clark.

Saturday presents Bike Fall 2011 a benefit for West Town Bikes which is an all day affair here at the Hideout!  During the afternoon there will be loads of activities from BMX demos to mechanic’s challenges and musical performances all night long inside!

Sunday we’ve got a heavy triple bill with The ShondesThe Homoticons, and 8 Inch Betsy.

Tuesday early in the evening we’ve got a book release party for our pal Tim Kinsella’s debut novel,  The Karaoke Singer’s Guide To Self-Defense.  Later in the evening our 15th anniversary celebration continues with a rare appearance by Devil In A Woodpile!

Wednesday has an Immediate Sound Series filled with some of our favorite Chicago musicians. Abrams / Rosaly Duo opens the evening and is followed Drake / Bishop / Parker / Abrhams which should be pretty special to say the least.
